About Pisharody Group

If we go back to the pages of history, we find our community members were eminent scholars/pandits/ teachers who taught in Kingdoms in pre independent Bharat.. A knowledgeable lot indeed there we find a lot of teachers in our group. It is difficult to find a pisharody family without a professor or a teacher. After the collapse of dynasties and provincial rule, in independent India, a few of our group initiated in jobs associated with temples. Present generation must know about our origin, foundation even when we talk about technological advancement and satellite missions. India has achieved a lot and our community members too. We should remain impartial as once we were the knowledgeable lot who taught even kings in kingdoms. We should not give an impression to the world that our community is biased and prejudiced. We should learn to bow our head only in front of Almighty-God..

We stand middle; dignified,
scholars, guiding force once
in kingdoms
knowledgable...
with no crores to donate
in sweat- swiss banks
but know the meaning
of a word from dictionaries
of the world –Propriety
We stand middle-dignified
with no fascination for p3s
or for star blands,
like simple chaval
but know from where
the fragrance of chandan arrives
We appreciate middle; apolitical;
form no JVs to demean others
or hire outdated elements
to fight for us
but  go straight to sanctum,
watch, understand meanness
and sympathise along with Almighty…
We, middle, dignified belong to earth, nature
and proud in each breath for being that.

OPEN LETTER TO THULASIDALAM

EDITORIAL BOARD SHOULD NOT (MIS)USE THULASIDALAM AS FAMILY PROPERTY.

I have received a copy of Tulseedalam May 2010. There is a tendency I find these days in Tulseedalam that Editorial Board Members are using/misusing Samajam Magazine as their family property. A kind of monopoly; I must say. When Pandita Ratnam KP Narayana Pisharody occupied the honorable post, there was a standard for Thulasidalam; special fragrance of thulasi. Now this editorial board block all the youngsters and use the pages liberally to self promote themselves through their various creations. Among them I noticed Mr. EP Unnikrishnan got this poetic language but should limit his place to certain extent.. Meera Mukundan donates always outdated bollywood stuff; I expect from her how a beautician trapped a minister from his post to fall sort of stories. She must either improve her writing skill or stop writing. Gokulakrishnan must stop advising community members. We got Poonthanams Jnanapana with us. He self promotes and boasts through the liberally acquired position in editorial board. He should advice his daughter first to not even think of aiming a stone at innocent birds before promoting her through the pages. Yes, I agree with him there no criminal amount pisharody community but courageous people are there and they read Vivekanada and Bhakthapriya. There this movie called Virudh come to my mind, a class movie of Amithabh Batchan. It is about how loyal and law abiding citizen transformed and took law in his hand to get justice when the system failed to give him that because of the conspiracies of power and rich elements in our society. I expected two more stories in Tulasidalam from editorial board; one from KP Bhavanichechi and Gopan Pazhuvil. I thought they contribute a comedy show out of a minister’s fall as they love to laugh when some one falls.

We readers would like to read substance and not outdated bollywood stuff in Tulasidalam.It is better to read some travelogues than reading editorial board contributions. If editorial board does not receive contributions from other members let them translate Attur Krishnapisharody’s great writings

NARROW MINDED CONVENIENCE:

Who is narrow minded? This earth, this nature or the people misuse power for the lifelong misery of other human beings. I think most people in this world are narrow-minded and there we  find this special group; broad minded pretenders. They act in front of people to project themselves as good Samaritans; but their minds will be like a crooked nest; they plan, implement and incorporate things beyond our imagination. They act as if they are the honest people in the world and create a kind of hype among themselves and do all kind of activities a commoner cannot even visualize in many births. I appreciate broad minded humans if they are genuine, but a few, when in trouble come and lift (they claim so) and in return if we offer the same attitude of help they accuse as if we stand to grab their unique attention.

For the benefit of beholders of power:


Broad Mindedness            : Protest not against power
Narrow-Mindedness         : Protest against power.

How many millions of people live in this world; it is a task to make this group understand this world breeze as long as earthen layers protect ozone, as long as earth is not hit by a tsunami, comet or a major accident occurs in the universal pathways in space.

Nature knows how that broad-mind influenced nature’s people to turn negative, borrowed ink prints to concoct, to tilt nature’s strong will power and how narrowly that broad mind avenged. Nature understands everything in broader perceptive much before people of nature visualised..

Jesus, hold that cross life long. My cross I carry beyond narrowness and pretensions of human minds.

HEADLINES

How much one can depend on coverage news?.., book, film, political reviews. From experience I must say, honestly, it is not reliable. Read it as informative ink marks. Carry not in head, wise not to tag. Based on reviews go to theatres I must say you will not get a satisfactory outcome.. Purchased two books based on high level reviews and learned a lesson better forget about the money paid. To my surprise with no reviews in hand to support I read a book- Kite Runner – Stunning. What a brilliant work, breath taker. I am jealous of Khaled Hosseni and in thousand splendid suns I got to know about a different world other than the peaceful planet we all long for. I wonder how this book missed out on big prices in literature. The same with movies; there are good movies like Saaya and 13th Floor. Reviews favour the flavor of big names in film industry. Smaller budget ones struggle, fail miserably. In Politics, who breaks the headline; the wrong ones, the most controversial. AK Antony in his Mr. Clean image shows us how one can be successful in politics. People like Narayan Murthy show us how to gain wealth in respectable way. People of India understand their vision and goals and respect them for that beyond reviews and coverage. There was an article in India’s national news paper about paid up news. Media played a major role in arresting the accused in Jessica Lal murder. But going behind sensations and trp’s tarnished their image. Break not the news… break not  wisdom. Cover the genuine. People all over the world follow for sure.

FRAGRANCE - MINT SIZED

Fragrance of a word, the word which is dear, comes out from pure forms. Gita says, grace in humans and the words spoken with grace are of Lord. It is not that we do not know philosophy of this world to rate speech and silence.

Here you listen, you call in anger someone whore, bitch and the person at the receiving end of your spell screams back at you. You can not rate the one screamed at you foul mouthed or third rate. You foul mouthed some one first and the other one raised his voice to tell you that your words have gone out of fragrance. When in rage you hire your sneaky peaky friends in media to haunt and they do it with your satisfaction and facts are misinterpreted the victim screams in loud voice again to tell you that your words are gone out of the vicinity of fragrance. Loud voices are different from foul language and ideologies change not from person to person. There is only one standard rule for all humans. You can not topple it or cover it up and think why a loud word came in between and you get the answer there and you start writing better words in your diary. Words with fragrance.

SPIRTUALITY

What is spirituality? Go to a temple, pay for a puja, chant mantras 24X7. That is blind belief; not spirituality. My mom used to say “ harm not anyone intentionally; try to do good. I thought of her when I have gone through an article about thantriks. No thantrik or mantra can harm a human or no force in this world to harm another human being. But when you intentionally demean, harm or hurt another human being a force interferes to tell you that you are in the wrong path. My mom used to tell us don’t go to a temple and pray for wealth, don’t go there to beg for anything; never stand in front of him with greed. Chant mantras to purify your heart, chant it to make you strong enough to face this world.. It is true that no mantras or superstitions will make you wealthy or assist you to harm another.

In a temple you gain only inner equilibrium, inner peace when in trouble. It is a place where one can open up and even share the inner most conflicts and there the god will not laugh at you or write page full unwanted literature.. He listens, never chases, and never hurts. That force can identify each one of us from our actions, thoughts and thinking patterns. Spirituality is not a white or saffron Dhoti to cover up the cluster of clouds. It is beyond the reach of sensations, beyond mantras, beyond senseless columns. To practice it one needs vision. God’s vision is universal and in that supreme platform one should be able to declare “ I find no regrets in my mind because I never tried to hurt any one intentionally; I never supported a wrong deed”. If you can do that without fear then you need not worry for anything in this world. It is a belief that he listens from above the whispers of the wind, loud roars of the waves and even understands the minute negative signals of a brain. Fear not humans fear only conscience the only support source one can rely upon. Spirituality begins there.

ARTISTIC HYPOCRISY

Have you heard of artistic hypocrisy?. I am in alphabets. Course manuals are there aplenty; arrive along with morning news supplements. First step; follow with utmost care; call your enemies maids, for sure you feel elevated. Second one; if your enemy is an Australian write like ‘that nurse wearing a sexy yellow skirt, an Indian you can call a security in blue uniform. Cricket has taught us initial on field version of sledging. Poetry teaches you about racism, rape, abuse, sting and downfalls. Interesting, what about columns, what if it is made by pseudo freelancers. It is great for a short while. Overall there you relish a plate full of Darshini Meal. But you relish not there the natural ambience of Sand and Sea. Go back to basics for a while.. It is easy to understand; ‘Origin’ from yellow leaves. In simple terms; we all assume that we are masters in our respective fields. What do you gain out of nothingness?, an empty vessel full of sunshine or night full of dark moon. I started enjoying artistic hypocrisy. It is better to laugh at Darshini extravaganza than getting angry. What Oscar Wilde says is right.. People know the cost of everything but the value of nothing. So we can liberally discuss about Australian Maids or Indian Security Forces. It is sad that Yellow handkerchiefs find only blue in Indian Ocean. Haven’t you seen that promontory, Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, white Sand, Seashells, Vivekananda Rock and Meditation Centre? Waves disturb the inner equilibrium  Everlasting Performance, breathtaking.. I have learned to laugh on all written, printed fictions; from Alchemist to Specially edited sub continental versions, sunset and sunrise in Cape.
